Light & Breezy Bellydance

No Experience Required

Next Session:  May 5 - June 9

If you are new to bellydance, then the Light & Breezy Bellydance or Beginners Class would be the best place to start.

Light & Breezy is geared a bit more towards Classical Egyptian style and incorporates smoother arms and slower turns, rather than quick spins.  This class may also incorporate veil or skirt work to go with the Breezy theme.

Beginners Bellydance is the starting point for learning tribal improv as we learn the basic vocabulary (building blocks) as well as body positioning and movement.  This class moves at a bit of a quicker pace than Light & Breezy and incorporates faster movements, spins, and articulations.  This course also looks at slow tribal movements.

Both classes receive a video summary 2-3 days after the class so that students can review again on their own time.

Sunday Funday Workshops

Usually held on the second Sunday of the month, these 3 hour workshops will fall into one of three categories:  costume making, choreography, or technique/props.  These workshops are open to any interested dancer, regardless of studio affiliations.

Choreography workshops will complete one entire choreography with notes and online access to the videos after completion of the workshop.  Opportunities will be given to perform this choreography together at a future date.

Costume making workshops may have a materials fee to cover the costs of items provided by the instructor.  Monthly Membership students will be required to pay that fee prior to the workshop.  Base instructional cost is $30 unless otherwise noted.
